Project : TERRACE DECK WATERPROOF MEMBRANE SYSTEM REPLACEMENT
In response to a Unit owner’s complaints, the Forth Group Property Management and Revive Architecture turned to Next Gen Services to replace the aging terrace deck waterproof membrane system at this high-profile Gold Coast condominium building. The project architect specified the BASF Masterseal 1500 fluid-applied pedestrian membrane for the replacement system. Upon removal of the existing membrane, NGS uncovered problems with the concrete deck in the form of bugholes (surface voids), cracks and shallow spalls. To furnish a smooth surface foe the BASF 1500 system, NGS first applied a 25-mil layer of MasterSeal 350 epoxy, followed by the 1500 pedestrian traffic system. To compliment the new traffic membrane system, NGS performed repairs to the adjacent masonry and limestone structures, ultimately delivering a complete repair to a satisfied client with minimal disruption of the unit owner’s routine.
